Talk About the Six Dharma of Niguma

Yixin Chen: You’ve said that Ever-bright Mahamudra is the ultimate extrication. Why there are "Reborn in Pure Land Self-enlightenment without Meditation " and "Bardo Buddha Reward body " in the Six Dharma of Niguma

●Xue Mo: After the achievement of Ever-bright Mahamudra, there is no bardo; he/she will accomplish the meeting of child and mother brightness when he/she is still alive. After the yogini realizes the bhuta-samjna brightness, he/she will experience the unification stage. If the disciples see the real aspect but doesn't realize the ultimate brightness; in other words, although they are enlightened, but don’t achieve fruition of liberation, they can use death brightness to achieve the meeting between child brightness and mother brightness, they will also obtain the Dharmakaya achievement. They don’t have bardo as well.

If some disciples didn’t achieve Mahamudra, they will enter intermediate status. So that, the Dharma of "Bardo Buddha Reward Body" will assure them achieving the Buddha reward body.

Yixin Chen: Do you mean that the Six Dharma of Niguma is fit for the people with relatively weak attributes? For the people with good attributes, they should mainly go for Mahamudra?

●Xue Mo: Not necessarily. The people with good temperament that can see and realize the true nature at the same time, will be able to actualize Mahamudra directly. However, for some people who need gradual practice, they still need practice. Even if they have recognized their nature, they still need practice. The reason is that, if the physical body were not completely transformed, the citta wouldn’t be complete, so that, the skillful means are still practical and necessary. This is the difference between Nyingma and Kagyu. Nyingma yogin only need to maintain citta after the recognition of nature, no extra practice is needed. However, Kagyu think practice is still necessary after recognition of the nature, and the citta will only be complete when the body is complete. If your body is not well, although you have come into Mahamudra, the tangled nadis ties of yours will influence the ultimate brightness of citta, which is the situation where the path of methods would help.

Yixin Chen: What is bardo practice dharma about 

●Xue Mo: To practice the habituated strength. You would keep practicing, and get into your stride before death. After you move into the bardo, your habituated strength will play a part, and help you pass the terrible intermediate existence, and achieve extrication. The Kundalini Dharma is to open nadis ties, Qi enters the central nadisat last you’ll come into Mahamudra. Five Golden Dharma of Niguma covers the methods from the higher realm as Mahamudra, to the lower realm, as Bardo Rescuer Dharma, so it is also called the Avatamsaka tree of wisdom. It’s suitable for people with different attributes.

As for the six Dharma of Niguma, you can make achievement with any of the methods. Kundalini or Brightness Dharma are all methods that could help you come into Mahamudra. To attain the ultimate achievement, you attain Mahamudra first; after that, you would make the ultimate achievement, otherwise it's impossible. Merging into Mahamudra is to merge into emptiness, but the emptiness is not idle emptiness, you can’t make achievement with idle emptiness. The greed for emptiness will lead people fall into the formless realm; the greed for happiness will lead the people into the desire realm; and the greed for brightness will lead people into the form realm. Mahamudra has no greed at all.

Many people spend most of their time in acquiring knowledge because they just don’t know this. You know, knowledge is powerless in extrication, which needs wisdom and attainment, not only knowledge.

Once, someone let me to enlighten a disciple who had pure faith to Guru, but wasn’t good in chant. I said, she has immeasurable faith in Guru, with natural happiness and innocence like a child. She is with great attributes. Some people practice for whole life, but still can't cast off utilitarian, scheming against everything, how can this compare to the natural pure faith that this disciple has? When she provide one hundred Yuan to Guru, she will never want five million in the stock market as reward. While doing Guru favor, she never asks for fame and fortune, without sense of duality, and this bring her immense merit, which is not the people who take sesame for fire puja could compare to. Traditionally, ten thousand times of fire puja are not as good as pure faith to Guru. Although you can get immeasurable merits by offering Vajrayogini, but offering millions and millions of lamp in puja is not as good as having your Guru happy. Because, according to Esoteric-yana, the Guru and the Dakini is one, if the Guru is delighted, the Dakini will be delighted too.

说说奶格六法

◎陈亦新:你说光明大手印是究竟成就,那么,为什么奶格六法中还有“往生不修自觉”和“中有如来报身”呢?

●雪漠:光明大手印成就之后,没有中阴身,在生前就能达成子母光明会。证得实相光明后,行者就会证得双运位。要是一些弟子见了性,但没有证得究竟光明,也就是说,虽然他开悟了,但还没有证果。那么,他可以利用死光明来实现子母光明会,也会证得法身成就。他们也没有中阴身。

要是一些弟子没有修成大手印,就会进入中阴。那么,“中有如来报身”的修法就会保证他成就如来报身。

◎陈亦新:你的意思是奶格六法是根器稍差一些人修的?对于上根之人,是不是主要以修大手印为主?

●雪漠:不一定。对于顿悟顿证的上根之人,当然可以证悟同时,直证大手印。对于一些需要渐修的人,还需要在座上修。他们即使在明心见性后,仍需要修。因为身修要是不究竟,可能会影响心悟的究竟。这就需要继续实修方便道。这正是宁玛派和噶举派的不同之处。宁玛派认为见性只要保任就行了,不需要再修别的。而噶举派则认为,见性后仍需要修,只有在身修究竟之后,心的彻悟也才会究竟。要是你身体不好,虽然契入了大手印,但你没有打开的那些脉结还是会影响心性的究竟光明,这就需要继续修方便道。

◎陈亦新:中阴修法主要修的是什么?

●雪漠:修串习力。你在生前修呀修呀,久久纯熟,当你进入中阴身后,你的串习力就会起作用,帮你度过可怕的中阴,达到解脱的彼岸。拙火修法是为了打开脉结,气入中脉,最后契入大手印。奶格五金法从高境界的大手印到低境界的中阴救度,都囊括了,所以它被称为智慧的华严树。它适合不同根器的人修炼。

奶格六法中,你只要修任何一法都可以成就。修拙火,修光明,都是为了帮你契入大手印。大手印就是究竟成就必须过的一关,过了这一关,就会得到究竟成就,过不了这一关,就不可能有究竟成就。契入大手印就是契入空性,但空性绝不是顽空,顽空是不可能成就的。若是贪空,就会堕入无色界;贪乐会堕入欲界,贪光明会堕入色。只有什么都不贪,才是真正的大手印。

好多人正是在这一点上不懂,到处乱跑,到处去学一些知识。要知道,对于解脱来说,知识是无力的,解脱需要的是智慧,是证量,而不仅仅是知识。

一次,有人叫我去点拨一位对上师有净信的弟子,说她的念诵还不过关。我说,人家对上师有无量的信心,绝不是一些心不烂漫,像个孩子,这是大根器呀。一些人修上一生,仍脱不了世俗的功利心,仍是千般算计,百般计较,哪像对上师有净信的那位弟子那样天生就有颗赤子之心,她没有任何的世俗的分别心,不会供给上师一百元,就想在炒股时得到五百万。她没有这些。在为上师做事,她不图名利,三轮体空,便俱足了无量福德,绝不是拿点儿芝麻去做火供的人所能比拟的。按传统的说法,你做上一万座火供,还不如对上师生起净信。你们供了金刚亥母虽有无量功德,但供上千万盏灯,还不如能叫上师欢喜。因为,按密乘的说法,上师和空行母是一体的,上师欢喜,空行母就会欢喜。
